Top 5 Questions to Ask the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan

By Mark Ashby Vaughan

5. Does anyone else get the feeling that the team is just mailing it in?

4. Do Tony’s “match ups” really make any difference at this point?

3. All things being equal, shouldn’t Joey Votto get the nod for MVP?

2. Are the team’s scoring woes any wonder when you consider that they routinely have three sub-.250 hitters in the lineup?

1. Who’s making early vacation plans – John Mozeliak or Walt Jocketty?

  1. 5) Yes
    4) Not at all.
    3) All things aren't equal and Calos Gonzalez is haveing a pretty amazing September.
    2) Not in the slightest (See the Pirates)
    1) All of them may as well start considering what the Giants, Braves and Rockies are doing.

  2. 5) Yeah, pretty much the entire second half has felt like that. This team just doesn't "feel" like they want to win. And it's so sad.
    4) Nope.
    3) Votto's had a great year. His team will take the NL Central. So yep.
    2) No. I think the scoring woes have more to do with 2 different philosophies from the TLR (be aggressive at the plate) and Big Mac (be patient at the plate).
    1) Walt. Mo should be figuring out what the heck went wrong instead of taking a vacation. Walt can plan his for November.
