Cy Young for Wainwright?

Adam Wainwright dealt again last night against the Astro's and picked up his league leading 15th win of the season.  His ERA has dropped to 2.50 and he has one of the nastiest curveballs in the game.  Even with all of this, Wainwrights name is still not mentioned in the Cy Young race.  Could it be that the young gun lives in the shadow of the dominant Chris Carpenter?  Is it because Tim Lincecum gets such great recognition for his untouchable amount of strikeouts?  Honestly, what is it?  Wainwrights been dominant on the mound, he's closed out a World Series for the Birds in '06, matched his career high wins already this season with 15 through August, and has simply been an ace on the Cardinals staff.  Its time for the big man to get his recognition.  What big game other than an All-Star game has Lincecum pitched in that gets him such great recognition?  Now, I'm not knocking Lincecum's talent or ability to throw strikes at all, but when is it gonna be Wainwright's turn to be acknowledged as the top pitcher in the National League.  It seems as though the numbers are there.  He's 15-7, an ERA of 2.50, and a WHIP at 1.21.  Oh yeah, he has 157 strikeouts.  It's time this work horse for the Cardinals gets the recognition he deserves.
